So the idea behind the game is finding these hidden structures, that will require an understanding of the controls which will only come with practice. There are several secrets in the game, finding them can really drive a person crazy - in a good way. As you explore the map you will find more skins that can be applied to the world, creating nearly endless possibilities of shapes and colors. This game provides a one of a kind aesthetic experience. Mu Cartographer is perhaps the most original game I ever played, I would recommend it for those that want to try something a little different. I have made a tutorial but you should only use it if you are completely lost.
The whole point of this game is that you are lost and trying to find a way to escape, confusion is part of this experience. If you don't get any help, it could take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours to understand the controls of the game, which are intentionally not labeled. It is created by Titouan Millet who is also a talented composer among many other things, I saw him play the soundtrack on the piano so I assume he made it for the game. Mu Cartographer is an exploration game where you can create and shape your own ambient world, but you can also complete the game by following the bread crumbs. (SPOILER HINT - If you get a bit stuck near the beginning, there's a pretty big clue in the Store Page trailer.) But YOU will qualify for a really special game!) My friends, Mu Cartographer is one of the really, really good ones (and I won’t even qualify for the badge, even with this review. If any of the above may be appealing, this price of $2.49USD for Mu Cartographer is, like the game itself, simply too good to pass up. Color and texture is a huge part of Mu Cartographer.
